Commented Issue: Syntax error, unrecognized expression [10117]

On SP2010 getting "Syntax error, unrecognized expression" with latest version of JQuery library and lastest SPServices when calling:

var userName = $().SPServices.SPGetCurrentUser({
fieldName: "Name"


Same code works fine with earlier version of JQuery & SPServices.
Comments: Only ID works: var userName = $().SPServices.SPGetCurrentUser({ fieldName: "ID", debug: true });
