Hi,
Did a quick search but couldn't find this as a current issue. When using the cascade dropdown functionality, the modified lookup (the sub category lookup) requires a double-click to select an item (or at least a click on the selected value then a click away from the dropdown control - the list of select values does not automatically disappear as per other dropdowns on the form).
I am using IE 11, SPServices file 'jquery.SPServices-2014.01.min' and jQuery library 1.8.2, and running SharePoint 2010
Cheers,
Nigel
Comments: This isn't SPServices, but a "feature" of SharePoint. If dropdowns have 20+ items, they are rendered in IE as an input/select wrapped in script. This allows autosuggest, but few people know it's there. See my post: http://sympmarc.com/2010/05/19/two-types-of-sharepoint-forms-dropdowns/
