New Post: Add item to list in new item form

You can't add items arbitrarily to the dropdowns. The page digest has the valid set of values encoded in it and the value you choose is validated against that list when you submit the page for security purposes.

You'll either need to get a new page digest or refresh the page for the new values to be acceptable.
