Commented Unassigned: Getting User Profile Details via User Name [10149]

Is it possible to get User Profile Details of a User ,via User Name . Actually in my scenario, Clients will select the user via People Picker Contol, on that time other fields like Dept Name, Emp No all his AD Properties needs to get populated on other fields. i am sure its possible to get data for current login user, but i am not sure whether its possible for other user via People Picket

Comments: Yes, you can call the User Profile Service with the account name once the person has been selected in the People Picker. M.
